Botonical Garden

•A well maintained Botanical Garden is present in premises of Govt. Meera Girls’ College, Udaipur.

•It is dedicated to the collection, cultivation, preservation and display of a wide range of plants labelled with their botanical names and families.

•It contains various blocks of special plant collection such as Xerophytes block, Gymnosperms block, Pteridophyte block, Medicinal plant block and Dracaena block.

•Some special plants growing in botanical garden are, Khejri-State Tree of Rajasthan, Rohida – State Flower of Rajasthan, Guggal – Critically Endangered plant, about 60 years old Banyan Tree, Semal, Khair trees etc.

•The main role of the Botanical garden is to maintain documented collection of living plants for the purpose of scientific research, conservation, display and education.
