Nature-Eco Club Report

2016-2021

Environment is a precious gift given by God and is an important and inseparable part of our lives. It is made of the physical elements – Earth, Water, Sky, Wind and Fire. Man is dependent on all these for his needs and has been exploiting them indefinitely. The beauty of Earth is the natural greenery which is depleting fast. Deforestation, industrialization and urbanization are leading to barren lands and desertification. This results in natural imbalance. If we follow the nature’s laws properly, we will never face the problem of scarcity of any natural resource as they are provided by nature in abundance for the need, but not for the greed of human beings.

Nature-Eco Club in the college has been formed to empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence and engage their peer and neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour. It is a platform which gives knowledge about environment and creates awareness among students to contribute to improving environmental conditions. The club offers programs and activities to encourage others to reduce pollution, plant trees and to tackle environmental problems through public awareness campaigns.
The club motivates the participants to care about the environment as a volunteer to keep earth healthy and green. The students are advised of their duties towards nature. Various activities of Nature-Eco club during the last five years i.e., from 2016-2021 are as under-
